Todd has achieved victories for both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of matters, including cases involving contract disputes, shareholder disputes, professional liability, partnership breakups, restrictive covenants, whistleblower claims, and discrimination and retaliation claims. Todd also regularly counsels individuals and businesses on employment-related matters and best practices.
Todd cuts through the “noise” of litigation and gets to the core determinative issues as efficiently as possible. He works tirelessly to master the relevant factual and legal issues in each case to best position his clients for a superior outcome at each stage of litigation, whether via settlement or at trial. Before founding Parker Pohl in 2017, Todd worked at Moskowitz & Book, LLP, served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nicholas G. Garaufis in the Eastern District of New York, and was a Staff Attorney in the Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Todd has published law review articles in the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law, the U.C. Davis Journal of International Law & Policy, and the Saint Louis University Law Journal. His law review article The Freedom to Manifest Religious Belief: An Analysis of the Necessity Clauses of the ICCPR and the ECHR has been cited in amicus briefs filed in the United States Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia.
Todd has been recognized for distinction as a business litigator by Super Lawyers magazine every year since 2013, first as a Rising Star and then as a Super Lawyer, which is an honor given each year to no more than 5% of attorneys in New York. Todd is an active member of the New York Inn of Court, a lawyers’ association focused on fostering community in the legal profession and continuing legal education for practicing attorneys.

Won multiple motions to dismiss on behalf of one of the largest transportation brokers in the United States: Since 2017, Todd has regularly represented one of the largest transportation brokers in the country in its New York litigation matters. He has obtained favorable decisions on motions to dismiss in each matter.
Defeated a motion for summary judgment in a legal malpractice lawsuit: In a hard-fought attorney malpractice case, Todd’s client defeated a motion for summary judgment. The victory positioned the case for a favorable settlement on the eve of trial.
Won motion to dismiss in a claim for broker’s fee: Todd represented a real estate broker against claims that her former client was entitled to recoup her commission. Based on documentary evidence showing that the commission had been appropriately earned, not to mention acknowledged by the former client, Todd won a motion to dismiss at the trial level, then defeated an appeal to the First Department, and finally prevailed against a petition to take the case to the New York Court of Appeals.
Won Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction in a real estate matter: When a seller breached a real estate contract by refusing to close and threatening to sell the property to another buyer, Todd won a Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction requiring specific performance of the contract of sale.
Secured countless private settlements and resolutions on behalf of major corporations, small businesses, and individuals: Todd regularly helps clients avoid the often unnecessary costs and burdens of litigation altogether or positions them for a favorable settlement during a litigation. To that end, Todd has negotiated countless out-of-court settlements and resolutions throughout his career.
