Wendy has substantial experience as a litigator in both state and federal courts and in all stages of litigation. She represents individuals and businesses in commercial and employment-related disputes and displays meticulous research and analytical skills in guiding her clients through a host of difficult legal issues.

Before joining Parker Pohl LLP, Wendy was a member of the prominent Media & First Amendment practice at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP in Washington, D.C. She began her legal career at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in New York, followed by positions in-house at NBC, Inc. and as a legal fellow for the nonprofit advocacy group The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.

Wendy received her law degree from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College with a degree in French Literature.

Experience

Wire transfer fraud litigation: Researched law on fraudulent compromise of a business email system and crafted pleadings — including claims and defenses — and third-party complaint in a dispute over fraudulent money transfer.

Legal malpractice litigation: Researched and drafted memoranda in cases on both sides of legal malpractice claims.

Business divorce arbitration: Conducted extensive research and assisted team representing clients in arbitration over a contentious business divorce.

EEOC filings: Researched and drafted EEOC charges and subsequent complaints for filing in federal court on behalf of clients alleging race, disability, and/or age discrimination against former employers.

Employment advice: Drafted updates in response to changing employment laws to multiple companies’ employee handbooks, including policies relating to Covid testing and vaccines, remote work, and sick leave related to the pandemic.
